Morocco Betting Sites: Official Status and Licence Checks

What do official Moroccan sources verify?

MDJS says it is Morocco's state lottery and holds the nationwide monopoly for organizing and operating bets on sports competitions, except horse and greyhound racing. It identifies Cote and Sport as a sports-betting product and publishes product rules through its own site.

MDJS also states that it appointed Sisal Jeux Maroc under an eight-year management agreement covering fixed-odds and pool sports betting, distributed through retail points and online.

Those official statements verify a named framework. They do not create a general list of unrelated offshore brands authorized for Moroccan residents.

How is sports betting presented in Morocco?

The official chain visible in the reviewed sources is:

1. MDJS identifies its statutory mission and sports-betting scope.
2. MDJS names the management agreement for the sports-betting portfolio.
3. MDJS identifies its own games and provides official rules.
4. MDJS publishes responsible-gambling and age information.

This chain is more useful than a generic "licensed" badge because it connects the public body, appointed operator, product and official channel.

Why BBA does not name the best betting sites in Morocco

A typical ranking page treats website access as evidence of authorization. That test is insufficient. A site can load, accept an email address and show local payment logos without being part of the Moroccan framework described by MDJS.

BBA would require an official Moroccan source connecting all four items:

• the legal entity accepting the customer;
• the exact domain or app;
• permission for the relevant sports-betting activity;
• current status and customer protections.

We did not find that chain for unrelated offshore domains in the official sources reviewed on 27 July 2026. This page therefore contains no ranking, affiliate link, bonus or claim of local approval.

How to check a Morocco betting claim

If a website claims to be legal in Morocco, ask for the Moroccan authorization and the legal entity. Verify the answer outside the operator's own pages. Unknown status should remain unknown.

Payment and identity checks

Do not send identity documents or deposit until the legal recipient is clear. Record:

• the company in the account terms;
• the payment recipient;
• account currency and conversion terms;
• withdrawal verification requirements;
• complaint route;
• whether the domain changes at checkout.

A payment method working in Morocco does not prove that the underlying gambling service is authorized.
